Squad named for Ajax game after final training session
A Tuesday evening workout got the team ready for the Champions League fixture, for which an 18-man squad was picked
Valencia CF undertook a final training session before their Champions League game against Ajax, the day before the contest at Mestalla. In the workout, the players worked on several things that they believe will come in useful against last season's semifinalists.
In attendance to watch the session from the stands were president Anil Murthy and director general Mateu Alemany.
The players and staff also got a chance to congratulate Rodrigo, who became a father to new daughter Daniella on Monday.
After the training session, coach Albert Celades named an 18-man squad list for the match, for which he will be without Carlos Soler, Cristiano Piccini, Kevin Gameiro, Geoffrey Kondogbia and José Luis Gayà through injury
